In 2014 we had the opportunity to build a new Cuppow HQ at Fringe. The space is designed for our two employees (Greg and Alison) and is lovingly referred to as the tiny-house that Cuppow built. It has everything that we need to manage our Massachusetts-based supply chain from production to distribution as well as a modular photo studio.

We wanted to keep the total footprint small but pack it with functionality - strobe lights on adjustable booms allow us to shoot high quality photos. The kitchen space has literally everything but a kitchen sink and enables us to get creative with recipes and keep up with the coffee habits required to run a small business.

At only 10’ x 25’ it’s packed full of love and dedication to what we do. We love the collaboration and inspiration found only at Fringe Union and owe a big thanks to Côte Nord for the flawless design execution and Henry + Mac for the photos

Hi friends,

We’re here to say thank you. We are so grateful that you have enjoyed giving Cuppow products as gifts for three years in a row now. It really means the world to us.

When we started Cuppow we knew nothing about producing something in a sustainable way or running a business. We just had an idea for something we thought we’d like to use and reuse to help us limit our own environmental...

Etsy Cup Exchange for Earth Day - This one is among our favorite things we’ve contributed to in 2014.

"To cut down on the number of disposable beverage containers that pass through our hands, we’re offering 16oz jars with Cuppow lids and cozies that we designed in house and manufactured with Freaker.

We’ve set up three modular stations around the office so that folks can grab a clean cup on their way out the door, and then drop it in the dirty bin when they return.”

Simple. Smart. Sustainable.

Geekhouse/Cuppow Cap Sold Out! Posted on 4 Nov 11:16

It’s true! We’ve totally run out of Geekhouse/Cuppow cycling caps!

In 2012, when we were just starting out, we wanted to advertise our new company but we didn’t want to dump our time and energy into traditional old-school PR blah blah nonsense.

So, we sponsored our friends who build and race bikes.

Cyclocross racing (CX for short) is a really fun mix of speed and mud and turns and obstacles and...

Autumn Granola

This recipe came to us care of our buddy Darcey from the Firefly Adventure Team. It’s a healthy seasonal treat that’ll sweeten up your mornings without the sugar-filled fake pumpkin flavor that normally fills up the end of October.

INGREDIENTS:

Dry:
5 cups rolled oats
2 cups chopped pecans (or walnuts, if you prefer)
3/4 cup coconut chips (unsweetened)
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup shelled pumpkin seeds
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
(optional) 2 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
Wet:
1/2 cup agave
1/2 cup olive oil (or coconut oil)
1/4 cup honey
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups dried cherries (I also like using cranberries or chopped figs)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl
3. Whisk wet ingredients in medium bowl
4. add wet to dry ingredients, stir to combine so that the dry ingredients are coated evenly
5. Spread mixture out on 2 sheet pans, lined with parchment paper
6. Bake until granola is an even toasty/caramel color, stirring every 30 minutes
(total bake time varies per oven, mine is 2.5 hours)
7. Remove from oven, sprinkle dried fruit on top, and let cool in baking pans

We loved this recipe so much we wanted to share it with our friends! Here’s to hoping you love it as much as we do!
